mr compass

My name is mr compass. I was born a Suunto KB-14/360 in Finland. I traveled to the United States and was bought by Rod Cambridge. Rod kept me in a drawer for many years. My only friends were dried out pens, obsolete keys and dirty pennies. Rod never learned how to use me and I was very sad. Then one day Rod's friend Jaull told Rod he was going on a trip through China, the Himalayas, Nepal, Kathmandu and Thailand. Rod said he wanted to own something that had been to Kathmandu. He took me out of the drawer and my whole life changed! He asked Jaull to carry me on his trip and asked for a photograph of me and Jaull in Kathmandu. Jaull did much more than that. He took pictures of us on his drive across the United States and all through the rest of his trip. Somewhere along the way he named me mr compass. Maybe someday someone will think to give me a first name. What follows are pictures of all my friends and all my trips around the world. Note: On January 5th 2009 mr compass was mailed to a friend serving in Afghanistan. He never arrived. So for now, mr compass is on his own adventure. We hope to see him again someday. We have started a new mr compass. We call him MRC2. Rod Cambridge
